How do I get my step-mom and dad’s yorkie to go to the bathroom outside if I decide to watch her again?
I took care of my dad and step-mom’s yorkie last night but the dog refused to urinate or defecate outside.
I took her out to do her business several times last night before I went to bed and she would not go and we both knew she had to eliminate her waste.
As a result, the dog pooped in the pool room sometime this morning.
I didn’t punish her but I was upset.
She is potty trained but won’t pee or poop outside when the weather is cold.
To be honest, I guess I wasn’t as patient as I should have been.
No matter how many times I put the dog outside to eliminate, she wouldn’t walk two feet from the door before turning around and scratching on it to be let back inside.
This dog is 2-years-old and knows better than to defecate and/or urinate on the floor.
She is smart and she knows that she’d be in trouble had my step-mom or dad seen her little "gift."

if you have to, stand outside with her, or take her for a walk. If they just turn for the door they could be nervous of their surroundings. If you are with her, she may be at ease enough to go. Do it enough and she’ll become comfortable without you there.
