How Many of You Would Wash Your Dog Food Bowls and Your Dishes in the Dishwasher Together?
I asked this in the Cat section too. Just your opinion please. I haven’t done it, but what is the harm?

I would. they’re both getting clean, so I don’t think it would do any harm.

All the time. In fact, twice a day. I put on "sanitize" setting.

I do it as long as the dog bowl has no bits of food or anything in it. I do it every day after my dogs have eaten.

I’d do it! But we don’t have a dishwasher… There’s no harm, all are getting cleaned and sanitized.

I would, but my parents don’t like the thought of it. My mom doesn’t even like when the dog food bowls are on the floor by the dog food!

My dogs eat out of dog bowls almost equally as they eat off our plates,
so of course the bowls and plates go into the dishwasher at the same time.
My cats get their wet food on our dishes as well.
Not sure why this would even be a question.

I have never given the fact that I load the dog & the human dishes into the dishwasher together, so much as a second thought….
To my mind there is nothing wrong with it, but it’s a matter of personal preference.

I wouldn’t do it as i find it easier and less time consuming to rinse it in the sink. I HATE dishwashers also!!! I will clean any dishes i can by hand before they are put into that machine..

No harm at all. I do it all the time!

Since our doggies lick our plates before they go in the dishwasher, washing their bowls in there is no big deal. The water is hot enough to kill what doggie germs they have deposited.
