Christmas Clothing for Dogs

Christmas Clothing for Dogs

Christmas is just round the corner and you are wondering what gifts to send to your family and friends. As you are pondering over your options, don’t forget about the animals. Pet clothing is getting more and more popular these days, especially if they live in urban homes. They are just so used to being around human beings that wearing clothing doesn’t seem quite out of the norm!

There are many types of dog clothing available in the market, and you may wish to consider purchasing some for your own pet or to send as Christmas gifts. Here are some ideas.

Dog costumes.

Dog costumes are excellent for fantasy play. Just like costumes for human, the pets become a totally different personality when they don the costume. Many costumes come in bright, vivid colors. So they are best suited to be worn during social occasions or festive parties. Christmas is a good time to dress up your dog in a fancy costume!

Dog sweaters and coats.

Dog sweaters and coats tend to be more serious looking. However, when smaller pets wear them, there is still the adorable effect. It’s like little children pretending to be adults. They come in many different designs and colors. Some are even knitted with beautiful patterns. You can purchase several of these and create a new wardrobe for your dog. During family outings, simply choose one that matches with the clothing of your family members. Your dog, after all, is part of the family.

Dog dresses.

Obviously, dog dresses are for female dogs only. Attempting to dress up a male dog in a dress will make your dog look silly. Usually, younger owners and teens will enjoy dressing up their dogs in dresses, as the pets become dainty and “princess-like” when wearing the dresses. For more aggressive dogs, a pink dress can downplay the aggressiveness. A dress can be very useful if you want to express the personality of a dog. Ever seen a poodle in a butterfly dress? It looks like a celebrity is walking down the red carpet!

Big dog clothing.

You have to agree, dresses and coats may not be the most ideal clothing for big dogs. You just can’t get them to look dainty and adorable because they are just so big! They are like the “big brothers” in the neighborhood. So be sure to get some clothing that sends the right message across. For instance, a hoodie or a mature looking sweater will look just fine on your handsome dog.

Dog wedding attire.

If you ever find yourself going to a wedding, then you know that bringing a dog can be troublesome. Besides, the dog is look so out of place. But what if you can’t find anyone else to take care of your dog while you attend the wedding ceremony? The only way out then, is to bring the dog along. If so, take the effort to dress the dog appropriately for the occasion. For male dogs, you can buy them tuxedos with bow ties. For female dogs, a satin dress will look most wonderful for the special occasion.

Celebrate the Holidays With How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway Ny

Celebrate the Holidays With How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway Ny

With the holiday season just around the corner, many families are hoping to get their hands on tickets for How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway NY. It is the perfect way for both adults and children to enjoy a great show that really inspires the Christmas spirit.

A Children’s Classic

How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway NY is adapted from the classic children’s story, written by the phenomenal Dr. Seuss. Seuss was known for writing a number of wonderful children’s stories that were in rhyming verse and usually dealt with whimsical and imaginary creatures doing strange things. Some of his most famous stories are, The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a who and Green Eggs and Ham.

The story of the Grinch however remains a favorite and is usually best remembered around the holiday season. Not only is the book a strong seller even today, it has been adapted numerous times to television and the stage. It was even made into a major motion picture that featured the multitalented Jim Carrey as the mean-spirited Grinch.

Despite being a rather unlikable character, many people with tickets for How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway NY cannot help, but feel a little sorry for the Grinch. After all, he may be mean-spirited and bitter, but he is also very alone, except for his loyal dog. It becomes apparent that this loneliness only heightens The Grinch’s feelings of jealousy, when he looks down on the warm and wonderful town of Whoville from his desolate little cave. The more he sees the town celebrate the coming of Christmas, the more he resolves to ruin it for all of them. He decides to steal all of their presents; trees and decorations because he thinks, these are what Christmas is all about. When he sees that Christmas comes to Whoville anyway, he experiences a change of heart and is welcomed by the people of Whoville.

The Grinch of Broadway

The very first musical production of this story was put up at The Old Globe Theater in San Diego in 1998. It drew heavily on the animated feature that had been running since 1966. The show proved to be such a hit that it quickly made its way to Broadway and made its debut in 2006, running for the entire Christmas season. It is the first ever-musical production on Broadway, to offer an astounding 12 performances a week. Again, the production proved to be so popular that it is coming back this year with a mind-blowing 15 performances a week.

The new run of How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway NY has three brand new songs and brings back the talented Patrick Page, who played The Grinch in the 2006 production. The show promises to be an entertaining feature for both adults and children alike. It’s also a great way to celebrate the Christmas season with one of the best-loved stories from one of the best children’s writers of our times. There is bound to be a rush for tickets, but you can beat the crowds by ordering your tickets online- just get in touch with an authorized online ticket vendor for passes, to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas Broadway NY.

Looking for a Cheaper Pool For Geriatric Dog?

I have a almost 8 year old Lab/ Golden mix who just visited the vet a few days ago, & has another appt on the 17th for surgery, ( she will be 8 on christmas) But the vet says that she has now entered her geriatric years & needs arthritis meds & a pool to swim in. the problem is We cannot find a pool that allows for a ramp on both sides ( inside & out) so she can get in & out ans still have room to swim around a bit. ive looked at pet co & pet smart. cant find what im looking for. she is also going in to have a thyroid & diabetic test( the Geriatric test is what it is all called) they check for everything, & like my vet said, she is certainly old & she now moves slow, but still is happiest when she is swimming she is our baby ( our daughter) & we want to make the rest of the time she has go easy for her, we want to make her happy. she loves to play, just has a harder time with it. Can anyone suggest where i can find a pool ( with in out ramp) so she can still enjoy her life? i Don’t want a 7/8 hundred dollar pool as her surgery & testing is already costing close to 900 dollars. I would rather pay no more then 120 to 200 dollars for one if i had to pay that Much. we may have to have another surgery if the lump that was found turns out to be cancer.. ( not to worry) doc said it can be treated if we catch it early. right now he plans on looking at it on the 17th. yes the Doctor confirmed she has entered her geriatric years.

Designer Dog Collars for Christmas

Designer Dog Collars for Christmas

With Christmas right around the corner, it may be time to start thinking about that time honored tradition of giving and receiving gifts. For that all important 4-legged member of the family, why not look at purchasing a designer dog collar. A designer collar is not only a fun way to show off your ho-ho hound during the holidays, but it is also an investment that can be used every season (or all year ’round) if you so choose.

Designer dog collars are more unique at Christmas as they are designed with that specific holiday in mind. Like with all dog collars, the ones made for Christmas offer consumers a wide variety of colors, material, price, and design. You can select a collar made of nylon, fabric, or leather depending on what price point you are interested in. Nylon and fabric type collars are likely your best bet as the selection is vast and inexpensive. In addition, these collars generally offer a choice of buckle, whether it be metal or the quick, one-hand snap and release type.

For those with discerning tastes, there is a designer dog collar out there for everyone; from snowman dog collars to reindeer and Santa collars, to holiday stripes, to cartoon characters (like Snoopy and Scooby) and even peppermint stick designs, you will surely find one that is right for you and your pooch. You can even purchase a holiday wreath dog ID tag! If holiday themed collars are not your thing, you can still go with any number of other designer collars (Louis Vuitton or Gucci, to name a few) – the choices are endless.

Even though you are purchasing a designer dog collar for Christmas, fit and size must still be a consideration to ensure your dog is comfortable. Like with all collars, no matter what time of the year you buy them, make sure to measure your dog’s neck prior to purchase and as a rule, ensure that at least one to three fingers can fit between your dog’s neck and the collar (depending on the size of your dog). If buying a designer collar for a puppy, it should be one that will grow and expand as your puppy does. The collar you choose should also be easy to clean and stand up to the type of lifestyle your dog is accustomed to.

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and get shopping so your proud pup can look forward to showing off their new designer collar at Christmas time!

What should I get for my birthday?

So my b-day is in a couple months and I’m going to use it to get one of the things I’ve been really wanting/needing

1. Itouch 16 GB -I have an Itouch 8 GB but it’s full and btw it’s like my lifeline I love it but it really sucks that it’s full so I really need a new one

2. A cell phone -I have a pre paid one but I never keep time on it and it’s like 6 years old. I tried getting a cell phone last year but it didn’t work so well. I don’t use the phone that much nor do I have a lot of people text but I would still like to have one

3. A puppy- I’ve recently started wanting a puppy like a little minature one and a doggy bag, doggy bed, plus she would have to be fixed and have all her shots and a leash and collar.

4. Salon Day- I’m bored with my appearence. I want to get my bangs cut, my hair highlighted, my tips re dyed, and I would like to get a pedi and mani and maybe my make up done. Plus of course my brows waxed

5. All DVDs of my fave show -I’m addicted to dog the bounty hunter and have been wanting the DVDs since before Christmas all though I have so almost every show out but I just can’t get enough of it I really love watching it.

6. Designer clothes- I don’t really have many ‘designer’ clothing all though I do have tons of clothes like there is no room in my closet but it would be nice to have something designer

But basically I’m pretty sure all of these are going to cost a lot. So which should I go for and why? Also if you please estimate the price of these that would be great!

What are your kids getting for Christmas and how old are they?

My son is getting a small folding kids couch, rock-n-rock tricycle, some books, v-tech ABC book, cow bowling set, and shape sorter. Plus I’m getting him a few trucks and dinos for the stocking.
My step-daughter is getting two pairs of shoes, a puzzle, rolling talking dog, little people, books and a beanie baby. We are also going to get her a doll.
Then they have a few joint presents, a swimming pool for next year, beach balls, sand toys, and life jackets. All that was clearance so it was less than for all of it.
My son’s presents are for his birthday and Christmas I just have to divide them up and decide what is for what.
I feel kind of bad because most of my son’s toys are bigger but I got them all on sale and I just didn’t find anything for her on sale. She is almost 2 and he is almost 1 so they won’t have a clue but it will look like he has more because his are bigger. Like I got him the rock-n-roll thing for and the couch for . Her shoes we a piece and the dog thing was .
I spent the same amount on both pretty much do you think it’s ok then?

Given the chance, how would you prefer to aquire a pet?

I used to know someone that can’t have kids. Anyhow, she spent almost 00 buying a dog, having it flown to her from another state. Recently, I found out she just bought another for over 0. They are somewhat "designer" puppies. A Maltipoo and Teacup Morkie. Both spoiled rotten (clothes, toys, numerous vet visits with a sneeze, daycare, special parties (halloween, christmas, birthday…), highest-priced food because it’s vet recommended (she told me they wouldn’t recommend it if it was not necessary She always said it was because she needed a special dog and I would do the same if I didn’t have my kids. I told her not true, I was in her position for some time and didn’t even consider that. My first pup cost me from someone in the paper. The 2nd was from a shelter. Just as sweet, just as smart, not as spoiled. Are they any less of a dog? No, but supposedly her’s is better because she is SO good at caring for it and spent/spends SO much on it.

What’s the most you would pay for a pet?
