My Boxer is 6, and we started feeding him Authority Harvest Baked about a year ago, and he’s gained a lot of weight. So I need to know a good weight control dog food to put him on. And also we have a Boston Terrier that’s not over weight, but we feed them the same food so would it be ok for her to eat the weight control too? Because I really don’t want to buy two different kinds of food, and they eat out of each other’s bowls.
I’m not feeding my dog Iams or Hills. That food is crap.

i have 2 dogs..
4 year old-miniature schnauzer.
10-11 month old-chihuahua/shitzu mix.

we have 2 different dog bowls of course since theres 2 dogs.. the 4 year old eats HIS & HERS dog food so he eats ALOT. the 10-11 month old MAYBE gets 2 bites of the food.
how can we get this eating habit straightened out?

my dog is about 2 years old in human years and i give fill my dog bowl up with plenty of dog food but refuses to eat. i feed my dog beneful for healthy young puppies. and before i feed it science diet but still didn’t eat back then. i am starting to get worried so please help

Last year I occasionally saw a cardinal or two sneak up on the porch and steal dog food… This year I have seen 3 or 4 beautiful males and a female or two taking turns cleaning out the dog food bowl. Is it safe for them to eat dog food? I put out a bowl of bird food on the rail, but they ignore it. I don’t mind them eating, I enjoy their company, but I am concerned that it may not be healthy for them.

My poor dog is always low on food since the bigger birds (pidgeons, doves) are always on the porch in his food and water bowls! I have a galvanized planter for dog food, and a galvanized 5 gal bucket for water, and those birds just eat all his food!! What can I do to keep them out of his food and off the porch? I really don’t want them in my yard at all, so I will not put out a feeder. There are too many pidgeons around our area.

My parents have been spoiling our dog with table scraps and dog biscuts. Now the dog (about 15 lbs) will refuse to eat their regular dog food, and so now they’re just leaving flour dog biscuts and mealbone treats in the bowl for the dog to eat throughout the day..

I know it’s probally not healthy, but what are the short and long term effects?

he marks everthing, even stuff that isn’t new, like bedskirts, table legs, laundry baskets, and today i got up and he had peed on the dog food bowl! what can i do? He is almost 3, and i have a 5 year old dog and a 1 yr old dog, they are both girls. Please help, my house is stinking!
he has been neutered.
he is trained to go pee outside, and does, but then he just randomly marks other stuff, almost like he’s telling the other dogs he’s boss?

My 9 month old has been crawling for a couple weeks, but she’s starting to get better at it and exploring more. It’s just a matter of time before she discovers the dog’s bowls in the kitchen. I hate to put up a gate, because then the dog won’t be able to get in there, but I don’t want her either eating the dog food or spilling it everywhere. Any ideas?
