Last year I occasionally saw a cardinal or two sneak up on the porch and steal dog food… This year I have seen 3 or 4 beautiful males and a female or two taking turns cleaning out the dog food bowl. Is it safe for them to eat dog food? I put out a bowl of bird food on the rail, but they ignore it. I don’t mind them eating, I enjoy their company, but I am concerned that it may not be healthy for them.
Before eating our 19 month old Mini Schnauzer will walk around her food bowl & push her nose towards it a few times. She’s not at all food aggressive – and not a digger. It’s not a problem – we find it amusing (we call it her "dinner dance") We’re just curious as to why she does this.
he marks everthing, even stuff that isn’t new, like bedskirts, table legs, laundry baskets, and today i got up and he had peed on the dog food bowl! what can i do? He is almost 3, and i have a 5 year old dog and a 1 yr old dog, they are both girls. Please help, my house is stinking!

he is trained to go pee outside, and does, but then he just randomly marks other stuff, almost like he’s telling the other dogs he’s boss?
Slugs appear in my garden every night. They climb into my dog’s water bowl and/or food bowl and leave trails everywhere. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them that won’t be dangerous for the dog, who lives outside?
I have a new puppy and it used to eat this triangular kind of puppy food, royal something or other, but it wouldnt eat much. Right before we decided to change the food she got sick, and we took her to the vet, and the vet told us to giver her some rice and chicken , until she was all better. She got better very quick, and after that even ate some dry dog food. After she got better we decided to gradually change the dog food. So we put a lot of triangled ones and a couple of round ones which I think are (iams). She wouldnt eat neither. As a matter of fact she would pick them up place them on the floor and start playing, she really enjoyed playing with the round ones. So eventually I just picked it up and put it in my hand so she could eat it.
Now my dog will only eat from my hand and not the food bowl what should I do?

when i give my dog his food bowl, he will take a couple of pieces walk away and will start munching, , then walks back takes come more and steps away and munches. and back and fourth, i think this is so odd, does anyone know why he does this?
i would agree with the stealing thing, but i put the food out all day and leave it there till i take it away at night time, so he knows its there all day
When my Maltese dog gets ready to eat, he scratches/paws at his food bowl with his paw before he eats. He does this to the side of his bowl about five times with his paw….like he’s playing with his food bowl or something; then he eats. Why does he do this? Thanks.
i got a 7 week old puppy n we leave the food bowl out 4 them and she climbs in their and sleeps on the food, or if its empty she just sleeps inside of it. the other dogs will come up and eat and she dont care but why does she sleep in there? every time we take her out as soon as we turn around she goes back in their…is it ok 2 let her sleep in their?
my dog hides her food bowl and sometimes i can’t find it. We gotten her a bowl like two weeks ago and she started hiding it, but then i guess she got used to eating out of it but then just yesterday i gave her food and this morning i couldn’t find her food bowl again…why does she hide it? Does it mean anything?
I was wondering why my dog likes to go eat when my sister or my dad comes into my room. ( His food bowl is in my room )
Is it because he is protecting it and wants to eat it in case they will mess with it or what?
