Okay. Where do I start? Sorry this is kind of long. I am 14. currently live with my father. He abuses alcohol. I have been on my own for making dinner and stuff most of the time because he is drunk and passed out. He threw a dog collar while he was under the influence and it hit me. My father also made me miss a court date when I was 9 that he never told me about. He has also put me in danger while I was riding with him and he was drunk. He has also taken my money and put it into his account that I never saw the money again, my father is also racist. I spent a lot of time with my mom while she was in New York with me but she currently lives in Florida so now I am always stuck home with my father because he wont let me do anything. I am finally taking action and want to live with my mom. Though I am only 14 I realize I have regulations to court and stuff. So I am curious if I would be able to talk to my law guardian without having the consent of my father? If I would have to pay to talk to her? And if any of the information above would help with the case of being able to talk to her.
So my law guardian says she doesnt have an open case file witch means my mom would have to file a petition, what is a petition in this case? and how is she going to do it long distance?
Top Ten Ways to Save Money While Traveling With Your Dogs
Â
So you want to take your dog out on the road with you? You have trained them to be a good dog, you need a vacation and you want to take him with you, but your budget is running short this year. Here is a list of the top ten ways to save money while traveling with your dog by your side.
Do your research. Once you decide on a destination, get informed; find anything you can about the area, buy books, go online and prepare.
What kind of vacation do you want to have? Which sounds better to you? Staying at a campground, hiking and canoeing with your pooch by your side; or staying at a four-star hotel, lounging by the pool and getting room service? Make sure that your vacation really is something that your dog can do with you. If not, maybe he should be kept with family/friends or boarded. There are now many locations that will allow your dog to come with you, and some even offer pet sitting services. Again; do your research.
Check out many different places before making a decision. Unless you are totally set on one place to stay at, shop around. You would not buy the first car you see would you? No, you would shop around until you found the right car for the price you are willing to pay, so traveling is no different. This is not a new concept, just look at all the online discount travel sites.Â
Ask.  If you find the perfect cabin, campground, hotel etc. that you want to visit, but they are a little over your budget; call and ask if they offer any discounts. But be sure to let them know that you are traveling with your canine pal. Some businesses will make you pay extra for bringing your pet. Try to get them to wave the fees, some will; some will not.
Offer to help out. We have found that if we call a cabin rental establishment and they have a house cleaning fee for people who bring pets, we offer to bring our own sheets, blankets and vacuum the whole place before we leave.  ALWAYS leave the place better than it was when you came. We have one rental company that was not sure about our dogs staying with us the first year, but the next year we called them and they willingly gave us a discount because we had left the cabin spotless when we left the previous year. Treat it like your mother-in-laws house; no one wants a messy visitor in their home.
Search for off-season rates. If you are traveling to a heavy travel destination, check and see when they have the least amount of visitors. For example, if the place is a summer destination, look at going in the spring, fall or winter. Most businesses have different rates for their off seasons. If you can be a little flexible on when you can travel, this is a great way to get that wonderful place at a great price, and a lot of the businesses will be more flexible on allowing pets. As always; do your research; if you want to go to the mountains to go boating and hiking, going in the middle of winter would not be an option, so go online and research the area and make sure it would work for you.
Make an agenda. No, you do not have to plan out day-by-day, minute-by-minute, but do not go totally unprepared. Know what you want to do while you are on vacation and decide how long and when you will do it. Why do this? Because you will find that you can save money if you know what you are willing to do with your dog. If you have an expensive destination, you can plan it for one or two days of your vacation, then plan a couple of days of doing no-cost days.
Spend some days doing free stuff. If you brought your dog with you, there are plenty of things you can do for free that will bring great memories forever. We have stayed at many beautiful locations with our canines, but the most that I remember about our vacations are the times we spent with our dogs, not where we went. Go hiking, dogs love the great outdoors and it usually does not cost a thing! Go swimming, dogs love the beach! Go to the park; most cities have off-leash dog parks now, take your pooch and let them meet up with some of the locals. Staying at a hotel? Take some time out and leash up your dog and go walking. You will get to see so much more and meet more people when you are out browsing the town. Who would not want to stop and pet a friendly dog?
Take a car tour. Okay, so the cost of gas is off the roof, but there is still nothing better than renting a good gas mileage vehicle and hitting the open road with your dog. Open the window let him stick his head out and hit the pavement. We often will take a time-out day from hiking on our vacation and just spend the day traveling from small town to small town. You will get to see some of the best stuff if you get off the beaten path. Other than the cost of gas, this trip does not have to cost a thing, pack a lunch, grab some dog food and water and go. In the summer, we have a school yard tour, we make a habit of stopping at schools in every town and letting the dogs run in the baseball fields or any area that is fenced. (Be sure to pick up after your pets, we do not want any kids stepping in a surprise!) Of course do not do this when school is in session! It gives our dogs an opportunity to stretch their legs and keeps them quite in the car as we continue our drive. And guess what? It will not cost a thing to stop!

This is Bobby, she is a 3 year old English Spinger Spaniel that my wife and I adopted from the Humane Society 3 weeks ago for $ 85.00. The HS said she was surrendered by her owner (still can’t figure out that one…) She fetches, sits, lays down, stays and is potty trained. We have a pool in our back yard and she voluntarily enters the pool for short swims or an occasional drink, but she enters from the built in under water pool steps. I just got her to fetch from the pool a few days ago, but she always uses the steps to enter the pool…until now. She hates having her picture taken, when she sees the camera in my hand she looks at me like I have just scolded her. I had to hide the camera on a small bench located in one of our flower beds out back to shoot this video.. she tries so hard to please… Enjoy Video Rating: 5 / 5
we just lost one of our dogs and our other dog is really sad and lonely. we dont have a lot of money but i think we can afford to buy one. we have the basic things like food and bowls for food and water. how can i convince my dad to let us get another dog?
we lost her like 5 months ago people
I have done my research about them for two years now. I have had two dogs before but they were stolen.. and I take care of my step moms dogs and i have trained them, and groomed them, etc for 7 years.(i was 7 yrs old then! and they do perfectly fine now and are well trained) I need some more research from experienced owners on sibes if yall don’t mind? I’m supposed to get one some time this month.
Can they be inside dogs?(Like mostly inside and i will walk her twice a day each time is going to last 30 minutes.and i’ll play with her outside&then she’ll come back in)(It can be hot down here so i want her to be inside with the air conditioning)
I have heard they are very stubborn, but they eventually learn don’t they?I’m patient.
Can it be around a cat, as long as its grown up with one?(I’m looking at a 13 week old husky puppy). Is that young enough to train it to be with a cat?
I’ll be at school(since im going to high school)I’ll get out of school at around 2:30/2:50. What should i give it to keep it company while im at school&my parents are at work?(Oh and my mom only works 3 times a week bc shes a nurse so she’ll be with her 4 days out of the week when im at school.)
Will a kiddie pool with water and some ice keep her cool in the hot days like, after a walk or playtime?( I live in east Louisiana)
i know it sounds selfish, and i feel bad..but I don’t want to adopt because i want to finally have a dog to myself, that i name&raise. My parents will also help me raise her.
Thank you ,(:
im not moving out til i finish college, and yes i have the money to buy the dog
I am having a "Backyard under the stars" theme party and we will be sleeping in a large, 6-person tent. In my backyard there is cement that leads up to the grassy area. I will have the tent facing the pool and I will put stepping stones in a curve to the concrete that leads to the back door. At the entrance to the tent I will set up tiki lights with citronella oil in them. We will BBQ hot dogs on a pit that uses charcoal. We will try to roast marshmallows on that too because, obviously, a open fire is not an option. I live in the South so we will have a small fan in the tent. We will watch movies on a portable DVD player all night.
I am turning 13.
I am having my 3 best friends over for this.
I really want them to remember this as a fun party and if you have any ideas or suggestions please tell me.
Money really isn’t a problem.
Thanks!
I am having a water balloon fight.
My husbands birthday was on February 29th.
It is so sad. His parents are divorced and his mother celebrated his birthday every 4 years and his Dad celebrated it on the 28th. Is this fair that his mother wanted him to be born on that date, he was 10 weeks pre-mature and he gets a birthday every four years?
According to his mother, he will be celebrating his 8th birthday in 4 years, which I think it is sad.
We are getting married in March, and I think it is sad, the way his mother treats him with gifts.
His Dad, is the best. When I am with his brothers and sisters and half sibling and step siblings, who ALL live with his Dad, they make me feel like I am in Cheaper By The Dozen or 19 Kids and Counting or Yours Mine and Ours. They are so loving. Especially his step-mother. She is happy and they are like the best family, ever. They are like normal parents and they give birthday gifts every year, not every four years.
His mother abused him by verbal, his mother just hates him. I am not serious, she even admitted it. She has a good job, she is not poor, she can afford birthday gifts all the time! She had my husband when she was 14, she is 42 years old! She has a good retirement plan and she had rich parents, who gave her a lot of money. She still refuses to care for my husband and love him.
Is that sad ^?
Well this year, he wants to forget about his mother and focus on other things.
Tonight, we will have a special dinner. I will take him and we will eat with nobody, last
night we had a family birthday dinner (and we had a ball/fun time).
And I am getting him 2 puppies. I found both at the pound for free, they were cute, they are different breeds, person at pound said they get along great! They will be 8 weeks old today, and I cant wait!
We will go to church at 2:00 pm, we will change once we are home and pack up. I am taking him to the beach for 5days, where the pound is located. We will leave the house at 4:30 pm. We will go to a fancy restaurant in fancy clothes at 5:30 pm, while on road. We will eat and have a small cake for dessert. Then we will arrive at the beach condo at 9:30 pm and enjoy a few days. The condo is his Dads so no money . Road Trip is like 0 and dinner will be 0, but we are fine. I had a budget of ,500. I got a little extra money at work, so I made it his gift. We will open a gift I got him in the condo and have some whine. Then we will change in PJ’s and watch a movie or play video games.
Then we will just enjoy 5 days of the beach, we will walk on the beach, take some photos for the wedding, relax, go mini golfing and go to an arcade. We will also go rock climbing and do fun/romantic/interesting things. We will mostly be inside and enjoy the sun set.
Then on Friday, we will leave. I will tell him we will have time to look at the pound for an hour or two and we go in. We go to see the English Bull Dog (female) and the Puggle (female) and I will tell him it is ours. He will flip out and get them. We will keep on driving and stop at a Pet Smart, buy supplies and all.
Then on Saturday, the next day, at night, he will do a work thing from 3:00 pm- 6:00 pm
Then he will come home at 7:00 pm, then we will have a surprise party.
I spent about ,500 on this WHOLE thing and it was my extra money. I bet he will do something special for my birthday, and we might make a baby on the way.
Please dont call me spoiled. It is our extra wedding money that we had for the budget of the wedding, the extra honey moon money, the extra work money from work, and some money I saved just for him.
I have seen my friends who spent like ,000 on their husband/wifes birthday.
My friend, got her husband an ice sculpture, that would melt in like 3 days or less, for ,000.
Oh, and it was, like a small sculpture.
I just build memories for my husband for his birthday, and make up some years his mother ruined for him!

I have a 10 year old sister and she’s always getting her way. She has a cell phone, a digital camera, a PSP, a laptop, more time to hang out with friends, she doesn’t have to do her own laundry (in fact, I have to do it), a DSi, not having to take care of our dog, wearing my clothes even though she has three times as many as I do, not having to take out the trash, and not having to do the dishes (which I also do). I’m only 13 and I don’t have any of that stuff. The only things I got are this computer(which is like 10 years old), a Playstation, and a RC helicopter. So I’m wondering, why does my younger, irresponsible 10 year old sister get more freedoms and luxury than I do.
she also gets more money(by a few 100 bucks), more shoes, more clothes, more and nicer shoes ( Nike’s to 100 and something dollar Ed Hardy’s) , a better iPod(btw, we got from the same person on the same Christmas) nad many more things.
A friend of mine and I want to start a business. When coming up with ideas we realized what we both love most are dogs and we wanted to do something that related to that. SO we came up with getting a boutique for dog apparel, toys, bowls, beds. All luxury and cute. With people today spending ridiculous amounts on their pets do you think this will be successful. It will be in a higher end part of Houston (where oil company workers are not feeling the effects of economy strain as much as the rest of society and have money to blow).
There is a young pretty girl in her late teens who works at a lesure swimming pool as a lifeguard. She desperatley needs some new sneakers as her current one are very worn down, but currently dosen’t have the money for some new ones. After a long day at the baths, she walks home from the pool and when walking down a dark alley, she see’s a pair of neatly placed new sneakers in the middle of the narrow alley facing her. She stares directly at them and by coninsedence they are the designer ones she wanted. But afraid by the dark she steps over them and carrys on walking. Later that night she regrets not picking them up as shese got to put up with her old ones which have holes in them at work. The next day she was on her way to work and was walking down the alley, When she saw the sneakers. This time she didn’t hesitate and grabbed them and put them in her sports bag. When she arrived, at her locker she kicked off her old sneakers and pulled out the ones she had found. There wasn’t nothing special about them, they seemed in very good condition with slight wear on the inner soles. They where neatly laced and there tongues where slightly pointing up. With out looking at even the size she just slipped them on. She wore them barefoot and they where comfy and fitted perfect. She threw her old ones in her locker as spares, then went by the pool. She was one of the last persons around the pool as she had to prepare the pool for the next day. It had been a hot long day, so she slipped off her sneakers and left them beside the pool and began stacking up the deck chairs. Suddenly she heard a noise coming from her sneakers like a choking noise. She looked at them from a distance away and they where both shuddering and shaking. She walked over to them and looked in there throats. She screamed in horror as they where coughing up blood from the insides of them. They started getting violant, blood started coming out of the shoes and splattering on the floor, then all of a sudden all the blood disappeared into the shoes. The girl began to run. Then the sneakers tied themselves, there tongues sprung up and began to chase the girl down by the pool. The girl slipped onto her back and the shoes slipped themselves onto her feet and began to tie so tight her ankles began to go slightly purple. The sneakers forced her back onto her feet and dragged her to the deep end of the pool. The girl was in a state breaking into tears. The shoes went over the edge of the pool and teased her, until the shoes lifted of there heels and into the pool. On the desent one of the shoes laces untied and tied itself onto the ladder, The whole pool filled with blood which was gushing out the air holes of the sneakers. The girl struggled to get up to surface, but the shoe wouldn’t let go of the ladder. Eventually she drowned and the shoe untied itself and the body rose to the surface of the blood filled pool. The shoes freed themselves from her feet, rose to the surface and got out the pool. They shook like a wet dog spalttering the wall with dotches of blood. They stared at the body for a couple of seconds before walking off leaving a prints of blood. The story continues as other people find the shoes until one day somebody destroys them.
