Why did my kitten already forgive my dog for attacking him?
My dog and kitten get along great but my dog doesnt like other animals near his food, but its fine if people touch his food. My kitty went to drink some water out of the dogs water bowl and my dog tackled the cat and growled at it. The kitty was really scared afterwards but when he saw the dog again he wasnt scared at all. And he was being nice to my dog, like nothing happened. I seperated the food and water so this wont happen again..

Your kitten knows he cannot have your dog’s food, it is like respect thing between them. And that is a great job by separating their bowls, I do that with my Dogs and Cats.
Animals don’t hold grudges. I don’t think the cat will be going near the water anytime soon.
I would strongly suggest working on the food aggression issue – what if it’s a small child next time?
