She should be fine. She may vomit, get gassy or have runny stools, but other than that, nothing serious.

Just be sure not to let her get into the cat food. Dogs seem to love cat food, (and cat poop) but the nutritional needs are different for cats and dogs.

Chances are that she’ll be fine. She may have some gas or runny poop, but she’ll probably get through it in the next 72 hours.

She will be fine! I own 3 dogs and 2 cats. All of my dogs at one point in their life, have eaten some cat food. Don’t worry!

It may have an upset stomach, but they normally get over it. Our’s has stolen a fair few in their time… If there are any unusual symptoms, call the vet. Cat food is very rich for a dog’s stomach, hence it upsets them.

My dog eats our cat food all the time, and he is very healthy. I wouldn’t worry about it. He/She may have some runny feces for a little bit, however they should be fine.

Cat food is much higher in fat and protein than dog food. A little cat food here and there for most dogs isn’t going to cause any harm. However, because of the higher fat/protein content it could trigger diarrhea caused by bacterial overgrowth or even pancreatitis which would require hospitalization with IV fluids, antibiotics, and anti-nausea medication. If you are thinking about feeding her cat food because you have run out of dog food and can’t get to the store right away then boiled chicken or ground beef and cooked rice is probably a safer substitute for dog food.

Not to worry, not at all.

It’s perfectly normal for the dog to snarf down the kitty’s chow.

The cat better get on the game and finish the food in the bowl, cuz once Rover knows there’s food there, she’ll always be gunning for it.

She should be fine, because cat food is suitable for dogs on a ONE OFF. Careful next time though!

Nothing to worry about at all. The dog may have the same kind of tummy trouble that any change of food may cause but chances are it won’t even notice the change. My dog will not eat dog food at all but as long as she gets plenty of excercise so she doesn’t get too fat she’s fantastic (She’s 13) and all she eats is cat food.

A few years ago my dog got dog-napped (kidnapped).and when he was found I had to take him to the vet. He was either fought or he got into a fight. The person that had him said they rescued him but was afraid to take him to the vet. My dog was missing for a month. Thank GOD the kids from his old neighborhood knew him and was able to help me find him. I gave each of them $20 when I got him back. And I gave the lady that led me right to him $200 (NOT the lady that had him in her house).
My dog had a wound under one of his eyes that needed to be debreeded (dead tissue removed). He didn’t want to eat didn’t want to move and was in a lot of pain. He had lost a lot of weight. My vet gave my dog canned cat food to get him to start eating. They gave him medicine and lots of love while he was in their care.
The vet gave me some recipes to make homemade dog food while he was underweight mostly chicken and rice.
So my answer would be yes if the dog needs it. And no it won’t harm them.
